What’s new on the App Store: Hyper, Lego Star Wars, and apps for the Fourth

Each week, the App Store highlights some of the best new and updated apps. This week, take a look at Hyper, Lego Star Wars, and apps for the Fourth of July.

We start our look at new apps this week with Hyper, an app that offers a curated collection of high-quality videos from around the web. Uptown & Co. offer vintage-style photo filters and insignias. Nike has launched SNKRS, an app built around finding, buying, and sharing your favorite Nike sneakers. In preparation for the Olympics, NBC has created the Rio 2016 Keyboard, which lets you post Olympics-related, emoji-like stickers in your messages.

Games this week are led by LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, based off the latest film in the Star Wars saga. Be sure to check out Crypt of the NecroDancer, a roguelike rhythm game with a retro art style. Square Enix has launched a new Final Fantasy title for mobile, Brave Exvius. Finally, check out Combo Quest 2, a new two-dimensional action-RPG.

The Fourth of July is coming up next week, and the App Store has a collection of apps to help you celebrate the day. Gaze into the summer night sky and use Sky Guide to identify the constellations and other points of astronomical interest. Get ready for that cookout with Weber Grills. Get a ride to festivities with help from Lyft. You can also find your town's place in American history with History Here.

Check back next week for more new apps and games from the App Store, and be sure to check out this week's Free App of the Week.
