Leica Announces new Full-frame Digital Camera: the Leica M10-P

Introducing the new Leica M10-P: here's why it's so awesome!

I'm a camera addict — film, digital, you name it, I want to play with it — and Leica is no different. They've been at the head of the camera-creating hydra for years, and have truly changed what it means to point and shoot.

So I mean it when I say, camera buffs and photographers, rejoice! There's a new camera on the market, and B&H Photo is announcing that it's the latest Lecia digital rangefinder, the Leica M10-P: and it's a Full-frame Digital Rangefinder Camera.

The P-version of the popular M10 digital rangefinder features an exterior stripped of the famous Leica red dot logo and other markings, to help the street or reportage photographer blend seamlessly into the background of life while capturing decisive moments. With the new camera, you get a range of features like:

  • Built-In Wi-Fi
  • Redesigned Shutter, Built-In Level Gauge
  • Stills-Only Operation
  • Built-In ISO Dial & Frame Line Selector
  • Weather-Resistant Brass Construction
  • 24MP Full-Frame CMOS Sensor
  • Leica Maestro II Image Processor
  • Optical 0.73x-Magnification Viewfinder
  • 3.0" 1.04m-Dot Touchscreen LCD
  • ISO 100-50000, up to 5-fps Shooting

Live view on the M10-P now features an artificial horizon or, as Leica calls it, a "Level Gauge." This is a great feature for those carefully composing their shots on the LCD. (Business Wire)

This new camera also promises to have the quietest shutter ever, while the touchscreen gives you full control of browsing through your photos, zooming in on little details, and managing your photographic inventory.

You can pick up your very own Lecia M10-P in black or silver for around $8,000.
