As such, when you download an iPhone app with an Apple Watch component, that app will by default automatically install to your watch. Mail’s VIP — short for Very Important Person — feature is great. Right now, the Fitbit Ionic, the fitness company’s first smartwatch, is in that awkward phase any tech product inevitably finds itself when its parent company introduces a new platform and ecosystem; the hardware is excellent, in many ways surpassing what’s out there in a number of categories; but in other ways — in smartwatch ways — it’s lacking.
