Which iPad should you get: iPad, iPad Pro, or iPad mini?

So you want an iPad — but how do you know if you need to go Pro?

Apple’s iPads are the best-selling tablets for a reason — dollar for dollar they deliver more performance and a far more robust app ecosystem than any of the competition.

Though there are a number of striking differences between Apple’s various iPad models, choosing which iPad fits your needs can be tricky. Apple’s iPad Pro models push the limits, offering both faster chips and high-tech displays; the base-model iPad offers Apple Pencil support and decent speed at a much more affordable price; and the iPad mini provides one of the best LED Retina screens out there for reading. Which one should you pick? Let’s break it down.

How to catch Ditto in Pokémon Go in 2018

Not only has Ditto learned to hide as Ghastly, Whismur, and Gulpin, catching a Ditto is one of the stage 5 tasks required for finding Mew!

Ditto is a Pokémon who can transform — essentially take on the appearance and attributes of other Pokémon. Although missing from the original release of Pokémon Go Gen 1, Ditto eventually found its way out into the world, hiding as Pidgy, Ratatta, Zubat, and Magikarp. With Gen 2, Ditto also learned to hide as Sentra, Yanma, and Hoothoot, and Gen 3, as Zigzagoon and Taillow. Then, when Shiny Magikarp appeared, Ditto Magikarp disappeared. Now, just as Ditto has become a prerequisite for finding the mythical Mew, Ditto has added Ghastly, Whismur, and Gulpin to its repertoire as well.

So, come out, come out, wherever you are. It’s time to play hunt and go catch!

TL;DR: Which Pokémon can be Ditto?

Pidgy
Ratatta
Zubat
Ghastly
Sentra
Yanma
Hoothoot
Zigzagoon
Taillow
Whismur

Charge your device in style with Griffin’s PowerBlock Wireless Charging Pad

Griffin’s newest charging accessory offers all the charging power you need in an aesthetically pleasing package.

Today, technology accessory manufacturer Griffin launched the latest addition to its line of chargers. Simply called the PowerBlock Wireless Charging Pad, the device is ideal for those who are sick of messing around with cables and want a fast-charging solution that looks great, too (especially with a Space Gray iPhone).

Made from a combination of thermoplastic polyurethane, polycarbonate, and synthetic wool, the PowerBlock Wireless Charging Pad has a shiny black exterior with a soft, scratch-free, heather gray fabric top that grips and protects your smartphone as it charges. The pad also has non-slip feet to keep it from sliding around on the surface of your desk or nightstand, even if you accidentally bump it while removing your device. In addition, it features a subtle LED underglow that activates when you place your phone on the pad to let you know that everything is…

How Business Chat works for businesses and consumers

Business Chat is here for Messages and it’s a great way for customers to talk directly with companies.

You may have missed it if you didn’t look at the fine print when you updated to iOS 11.3, but there was an interesting feature added to iOS. Yup, it was five lines down in the update notes:

Business Chat (Beta) – US only
* Communicate with companies to easily ask questions, schedule appointments, and make purchases inside the built-in Messages app on iPhone and iPad

Business Chat was released as a part of iOS 11.3 as a way to make it easier for businesses to create contact with customers, clients, and potential customers and clients. The service, which is built into the Messages app, also offers APIs for integration in custom apps as well as working with off-the-shelf CRM apps such as Nuance, LivePerson, Gensys, zendesk, In The Chat, and Salesforce Service Cloud.

Business Chat is consumer-focused, business-friendly

PCalc’s newest update includes more display options and a soundtrack

PCalc just got even more fun. (Er, as fun as math can get.)

Popular feature-heavy scientific calculator app PCalc just got an update today, and though it’s minor, it features more display options, tint colors for more themes, and a soundtrack. Yes, I said soundtrack.

Display-wise, the app now ”smarter” about using the available screen space. In addition, in settings, you can choose to show x10 in scientific notation as well as toggle off the labels and info on the display. And, for the aesthetically conscious among you, you can now change the tint for more themes, including ”A Touch of Color,” ”Brawn,” and ”Widget.”

In terms of functionality, you can now use hyperbolic trigonometry in user functions and conversions. It also works even better on the iPhone X than ever before.

However, possibly the coolest new thing to come out of this update (at least to me, as someone who does very little calculating) is that the app’s About screen now has an ambient soundtrack by multitalented…

Should you upgrade to the iPad Pro (10.5 or 12.9)?

If speed and having the best drawing features matter to you, Apple’s new iPad Pro models are worth your money.

Apple’s 2017 10.5 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models are bigger, better, and faster than any other iPad — but are they worth your hard-earned cash? Whether you currently have a first-generation iPad Pro, considering buying your very first Pro-model iPad, or weighing the 2018 base-model iPad over a Pro, here’s what you need to know.

See at Apple

Capacity & Color

Both the 10.5 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models start at a baseline 64GB of storage space — a welcome doubling of the iPad Pro’s previous storage capacities — and go all the way up to 512GB at their highest configuration. (For reference, the base MacBook Pro model starts at 128GB.)

Colors is the only place where the two new iPad Pro models differ: The 12.9-inch model is sadly lacking a Rose Gold option; otherwise, the two share the same Space Grey, Silver, and Gold color choices.
