#Goldilocks is an updated fairytale that helps to educate young children about social media, especially the need to be kind.
It was originally released in December of 2018 to very positive feedback.

UK carrier Vodafone has announced it will donate a copy of its #Goldilocks story to every primary (elementary) school in the UK.

By way of a press release, Vodafone announced that every primary school in the UK will receive a copy of #Goldilocks, to help start conversations about responsible social media use amongst young children. The release states:

A newly-published Apple patent shows how Apple could use sidewall displays in a mobile device.
It’s based around flexible displays that are bent to cover the front and the edge of a device.
The side displays could supplement the front of the device with information or virtual buttons and feedback components.

An Apple patent published today, December 31, has revealed technology that uses flexible displays to create supplemental, ”sidewall” displays in a mobile device.

WhatsApp support for iOS 8 ending February 1, 2020, all three users furious

What you need to know

WhatsApp will soon cease to work on iOS 8.
The change will take effect on February 1, 2020.
You won’t be able to use the app on iOS 8 or older.

WhatsApp has updated its operating system support page, confirming that users of iOS 8 or older will no longer be able to use WhatsApp as of February 1, 2020.

The move will also affect older versions of Android (2.3.7) from the same date, and for anyone using Windows Phone operating system (you never know), WhatsApp will no longer be usable as of today, December 31.

According to the support page, on all the versions and operating systems mentioned, users are already no longer able to create new accounts, nor re-verify their existing ones. On iOS and Android you’ll be able to continue using the app until February 1, 2020.

iPhone’s Emergency SOS feature helps foil an assault

The feature helped her fend off an assault.
Dispatchers were able to send police to her location.

Apple’s Emergency SOS feature is one that not a lot of people are aware of, and that’s something that needs to change. Thankfully a woman who was being assaulted was absolutely aware of it and successfully used it to fend off an assault.

The Emergency SOS feature allows users of iPhones and Apple Watches to press and hold specific buttons to call emergency services with no other interactions required. And everyone should know how to use it.

Corellium CEO says Apple wants to ”eliminate public jailbreaks”

Apple’s has made their next move in their fight against Corellium.

Corellium’s CEO has written an open letter in response to Apple’s lawsuit against the company.
The letter claims Apple is trying to stifle the jailbreaking community.
She also points out the benefits of security that jailbreaking has brought the company.

Back in August, Apple filed a lawsuit against Corellium, a software company that specializes in replicating iOS and selling it to security researchers. That lawsuit is gaining more attention today since Amanda Gorton, the CEO of Corellium, penned an open letter stating that Apple is trying to ”eliminate public jailbreaks” and that all in the jailbreaking community should be worried.
