Celebrating mysterious Pokémon like Elgyem, Unown, and Deoxys!
The second of the Ultra Unlock Bonuses is Enigma Week. Trainers around the globe were able to complete 16 challenges, and so all Pokémon Go players are being rewarded with an entire week of mysterious and enigmatic Pokémon. What can we expect from Enigma Week?
What are Ultra Unlock Bonuses
As is tradition with Pokémon GO Fest events, Ultra Unlock bonuses are rewards ticket holders can earn for everyone by completing challenges. Throughout day one of Pokémon GO Fest 2020, Trainers had over 30 global challenges tied to the Rotating Habitats. Every eight challenges that were completed by players around the world earned one additional Ultra Unlock event week for a total of three events. The second of those weeks begins now, Friday, August 8, 2020.
Ultra Unlock Week Two: Enigma Week
Because Trainers completed 16 global challenges, we unlocked Enigma Week. This week will focus on some of the most mysterious Pokémon, such as Elgyem, Unown, and Deoxys! Enigma Week will run from Friday, August 7, 2020 at 1 PM PST to Friday, August 14, 2020.
Spawns
The following Pokémon will see increased spawns this week:
- Clefairy
- Jigglypuff
- Staryu
- Lunatone
- Solrock
- Baltoy
- Bronzor
- Elgyem
Of these Pokémon, all but Elgyem, who is new to Pokémon Go, have the potential to be Shiny.
Eggs
The following Pokémon will be hatching from 7 KM Friend Eggs:
- Cleffa
- Igglybuff
- Lunatone
- Solrock
- Elgyem
Raids
The following Pokémon will be featured in Event specific Raids:
- Elgyem - one star
- Unown U - two star
- Unown L - two star
- Unown T - two star
- Unown R - two star
- Unown A - two star
- Deoxys Normal Forme - five star
New Shiny Pokémon
The following Pokémon will have their Shiny variants unlocked this week:
- Staryu
- Starmie
- Unown U
- Unown L
- Unown T
- Unown R
- Unown A
- Deoxys
Note: The Unown released for this event will only appear as Shiny this week.
Event Field Research Tasks
The following Field Research Tasks will be available from PokéStop spins this week:
- Catch three Psychic type Pokémon for one Rare Candy.
- Make three Curve Ball Throws for a Baltoy encounter.
- Win a Raid for a Staryu encounter.
What's next?
After Enigma Week, we'll move on to Unova Week, during which Pokémon originally found in the Unova Region of Gen V will be more common, Genesect will take over Legendary Raids, and new Regional Exclusive Pokémon, Bouffalant will be introduced. Sunday, August 16, 2020 will also feature the Pokémon Go Fest 2020 Makeup Event for players impacted by technical issues during Go Fest. This Makeup Event is only for player who purchased tickets for Pokémon Go Fest 2020, but everyone can benefit from the Ultra Unlock weeks.
