Catalyst unveils waterproof backpack, floating lanyard for iPhone, and more

Get serious about protecting your devices.

Catalyst designs device accessories for the adventurers out there, and its latest lineup of products was just unveiled at IFA 2018 in Berlin.

Though it's best known for its protective waterproof cases, Catalyst is looking to expand its product offering starting with its 20L Waterproof Backpack. Fittingly in line with the rest of their products, this bag is designed with material that can withstand 10,000mm of water. It features a roll top closure, 9-inch side pockets, and breathable, mesh shoulder straps. Though it won't begin shipping until the end of September, you can pre-order yours now at Catalyst's website for $119.99.

The next awesome product Catalyst is showing off at IFA is its Impact Protection Case for the latest 9.7-inch iPad. Priced at $59.99, this case is equipped with a lanyard attachment and a non-slip bumper made of rubber. While it's not waterproof, it's been designed to offer drop protection from up to four feet high. It comes with a detachable holder for the Apple Pencil too and is now available for purchase.

The last new release iOS users will want to check out is the Floating Lanyard for Catalyst iPhone Cases. As the name suggests, you'll need one of the company's iPhone cases to actually use this product. It's designed to make every case they sell float while in the water. Having a waterproof case is not going to help if your phone happens to fall underwater out of sight and out of reach, after all. It features a built-in strap which you can wear around your wrist to keep your device floating nearby, though its orange buoy can help you keep it in sight too. Catalyst case users must be pretty stoked about this one as it's already sold out online after appearing just the other day for $24.99.
