Best Black Friday Apple Watch Deals 2018: Best Buy, Target, & More

Looking to pick up an Apple Watch and want to get the best deal possible? We've got you covered!

Apple products don't often go on sale, especially newer ones, but sometimes you can find a great deal if you look for it. Hunting down the best deals can take a lot of time, and sometimes it isn't worth all the extra time spent just to save a few bucks. Luckily, we have already done all that research for you and have rounded up all the best deals you can find on an Apple Watch right now.

When it comes to Black Friday, the trend we are seeing is retailers will look to discount the Series 3. The Series 4 Watch is just too new as of yet, but we've seen some great deals on the previous gen. We're bumping the Black Friday deals on the Series 3 to the top, but take a look at the other series as well.

Apple Watch Series 3 Black Friday Deals

The Series 4 is super new. We just reviewed it in September. Apple Watches already don't have a lot of deals, so we really don't expect to see any discounts on the most current generation. However, the Series 3 is going to be the popular place to find deals on Black Friday. It's still a very modern watch and includes integrated LTE. Best Buy and Target will be your retailers to watch this holiday season.

Best Buy

This Black Friday sale is live right now. Best Buy is taking $50 off the Series 3 in multiple sizes and colors. The Apple Watch Series 3 38mm is down to $229.99, and the 42mm is down to $259. The LTE version is as low as $329.

Target

This is the only other major retailer advertising huge discounts on the Apple Watch. While the model options might not be as varied as Best Buy, the savings might be better. The Apple Watch Series 3 38mm with GPS will be down to $199.99. The 38mm with GPS and LTE will be down to $299.99. Both prices are $30 better than Best Buy, but these deals will not be live until 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22.

Apple Watch Nike+ Series 3 Black Friday Deals

The Nike+ Apple Watch is very similar to the regular Series 3, but it adds some Nike exclusive watch faces and the sport band designed to be more comfortable when you exercise. The Watch itself already has a lot of the features you'd want in an activity tracker, including GPS, the heart rate monitor, and a swim-proof design.

Best Buy

The Best Buy Black Friday sale, which is live now, includes the Nike+ Series 3 version of the Apple Watch. Grab the Nike+ with GPS for as low as $229. If you want LTE, you can get it for just $329.

The rest of the non-holiday deals:

Apple Watch Series 0

This was the Apple Watch that started it all, but not many places are selling them new anymore. It was released back in 2015, and since then Apple has updated it a number of times. If you're in the market for the original Apple Watch, you'll likely have to look at used options.

eBay

As far as we can tell, eBay is the only place selling Apple Watch Series 0 right now. Of course, it will be up to you to vet the sellers, ask the right questions, and make sure you use eBay's Money Back Guarantee.

Swappa

Swappa is a community-based website that allows users to sell devices to others. Sellers can upload information about the condition, accessories, add pictures, and state a price. Buyers can ask questions, and the payments are secured through PayPal. It's not always a guarantee you will find any listings, but keep trying if you're interested.

Apple Watch Series 1

When Apple announced the updated Apple Watch, it unveiled the Series 1 and Series 2 models. There are a few differences between the two, with the Series 1 being more of an entry-level model. It runs on the same dual-core processor as the Series 2 but doesn't have the "swim-proof" water resistance. The display is a little dimmer than the Series 2, and it is a tad lighter and thinner. If you want a current Apple Watch without spending a ton, this is the model to go for.

Walmart

Walmart sells the the 38mm Apple Watch Series 1 for as low as $269 through third parties, but they drop the watch as low as $149 regularly. If you're looking for the 42mm version, those are currently out of stock but sell for around $179 when available. These come with a one-year limited warranty. This is a great way to save compared to what Apple sells them for in new condition.

Apple Watch Series 2

The Apple Watch Series 2 is the "swim-proof", water-resistant model that has an OLED Retina display, 18 hours of battery life, and a GPS antenna. It comes with the same dual-core processor as the Series 1 but also includes a ceramic back, which other models don't have. It offers a direct-fire speaker (which ejects water from the watch) and the display is nearly twice as bright as on other models.

Apple Watch Nike+ Series 2

The Nike+ version of the Apple Watch is just a Series 2 watch with some minor changes. One of the biggest differences is the Ion-X glass on the front and the custom interface elements. This version comes with its own custom bands that can't be purchased separately, as well as customized watch faces to show you the information you want to see at a glance.

Discounts are few and far between on the Nike+ variants, so be sure to check back for updates. While not currently live, Nike regularly has deals on this version of the Apple Watch. Keep an eye on the Nike page if you're interested in that. The last deal we saw at Thrifter was August 30, so we might see another one soon.

Apple Watch Edition

Unlike the first time around, the Apple Watch Edition is much more "affordable" this time. Apple gave up the thought of a $15,000 smartwatch and priced this one a bit more moderately. It has a white ceramic housing, a sapphire crystal display, and the internals of an Apple Watch Series 2.

Currently, there are no discounts available on new versions of the Apple Watch Edition. Swappa has a few second-hand options available. Best Buy is a great place to keep an eye out for discounts on this version of the Apple Watch. Check out the links we listed under the Series 3 for more information there.
