Is switching Professions in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite a good idea?

Professions in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite aren’t set in stone, but switching may have consequences you haven’t thought about.

Once a player reaches level six in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, they have the option to choose a Profession — Auror, Magizoologist, or Professor. Each Profession has a different skill tree and are strong against certain enemies you find in Wizarding Challenges, meaning their play styles are slightly different. If you aren’t happy with the profession you chose, or you just feel like leveling up more than one profession, you can always switch at any time. Here’s a quick lesson in switching professions and what happens when you do.

How to switch professions in Harry Potter Wizards Unite

You can switch professions at any time, by heading to the Professions menu.

Launch Harry Potter: Wizards Unite from your Home screen.
Tap the Suitcase.
Tap Professions.
Find the profession you want to switch to

Tap Switch.

Now you’ll be able to start learning ski…

Here’s what we think of Super Mario Maker 2

Build your own Mario levels and watch others squirm.

Super Mario Maker 2 is a creative triumph. Not only does it stay true to the feel of the original Wii U game, but it also improves upon it. I spent over eight hours testing this game out to get an understanding for every mode and every tool it offers. Without a doubt, that this is one of the most fun games you’ll find on the Nintendo Switch, whether or not you’re a Mario fan to begin with.

The new Story Mode makes it so you can access levels even when you’re without an internet connection, and the ability to play other’s games online makes it so you practically have infinite courses at your fingertips. You’ll be able to create levels like you’ve never seen before and then snicker to yourself as you make friends play them. Believe me, you’ll find yourself playing for hours whether it’s creating or running through a course. This Switch title definitely improves upon the original and will keep players entertained for years to come.

From the Editor’s Desk: Happy Canada Day & U.S. Independence Day!

When neighbors and friends, both literally and nationally, take part in a celebration of our countries’ most important events.

Canada celebrates its national holiday on July 1, the United States on July 4. The holidays, like the countries that honor them, are as similar as they are different. We share many of the same ideals, hopes, and dreams… even if Canada still has a Queen.

Rene has this weekend off. Since he lives across the street from the parades, fair grounds, and fireworks, I like to think he’ll be spending the next few days enjoying the true north festivities with beverages, barbeque, and his loved ones. But, who am I kidding? He’s probably just going to spend it making more videos. Sigh.

In the U.S., I’m celebrating Independence Day later in the week by gathering with my friends and family for an evening of backyard grilling, cold, cold ones, and a nighttime spectacular usually hosted by yours truly. We don’t go in for the big stadium fireworks. I start stocking …

Public betas are here already! Lory Gil and Rene Ritchie have all the details, including why you probably don’t want to try them out just yet. But if you do, they’re here to help you do it the smart way. They have an exclusive scoop on Apple Card.

The big bombshell this week is that Jony Ive is leaving Apple later this year to form his own design studio. Apple will become one of his primary clients, but how much of his influence will we continue to see in Apple’s products going forward?

Finally, Lory and Rene talk about Wizards Unite and how different (and more complex) it is compared to Pokémon Go.

Get the most out of the rental cauldron in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite!

You can rent a golden cauldron in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite to brew more potions at a faster rate. Here are some tricks to get the most out of it!

In Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, a good practice for any witch or wizard is brewing potions. These potions are helpful items that can help you overpower Confoundables in Traces, increase your attack power or focus in Wizarding Challenges, heal you after taking damage in Challenges, and more. And while each potion needs a different amount of time to brew, you can even use Master Notes to speed up the process. Your standard cauldron is able to brew one potion at a time, but you can queue up a total of four potions at once.

But did you know that you can also rent out a Golden Cauldron to get four more slots for potions, and also increase the overall brewing speed by 10 percent? Here are some more tips and tricks to consider when it comes to the rental Golden Cauldron.
