Incredible iPhone 6s photography showcased in Apple’s new World Gallery!

Inspiring images from around the world, all shot on the iPhones 6s! Apple is beginning to launch a new World Gallery as a way to bring some attention to the amazing photographers from across the globe that have been shooting on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Billboards are currently going up, and if last year’s #ShotOniPhone6 campaign is any indication, #ShotOniPhone6s is soon going to be every bit as big. The gallery includes 53 photos from 41 photographers from 85 cities in 26 countries around the world. The overarching theme this year, if there is one, appears to be people — children, women, and men living their lives, doing their jobs, and being in the moment. While some of the artists featured are professionals, others are everyday people inspired by the world around them and able to use the iPhones 6s to capture what they see and feel. The iPhones 6s feature an all-new 12 megapixel iSight camera with an Apple A9-powered image signal processor (ISP) that makes it easier…

On the dollars front we got earnings reports from both Apple and Microsoft, neither of which is in bad shape. Apple had the largest-ever quarterly profit but didn’t quite meet analyst expectations or paint a gold-plated rosy picture of the future, and thus got punished. Microsoft, meanwhile, reported healthy revenue and profits that beat Wall Street estimates, and despite the struggling of high profile segments was rewarded with an increased stock price. For perspective, Microsoft earned $5.4 billion in profit on $23.8 billion in revenue. Apple registered an $18.4 billion profit on $75.9 billion in revenue. On the rumors front, things are only heating up as we head towards the MWC unveiling of a whole new slew of smartphones. Up first is the LG G5, which might ditch the back-mounted power and volume buttons that have been a signature of the G-series flagships. Samsung…

T-Mobile will once again run commercials during this year’s Super Bowl on Feb. 7. The carrier has posted up a teaser for those ads that looks back at classic commercials that have debuted during the big NFL game. The clip has visuals that reference ads like Apple’s 1984 commercial for the Macintosh, along with Volkswagen’s Darth Vader ad and more. The teaser says that none of those elements will be in T-Mobile’s actual Super Bowl 50 commercials, but there will be lots of magenta and that other carriers will ’hate it.” AdAge says that 30-second commercials for Super Bowl 50 are being bought for between $4.6 million to just over $5 million per spot.
