Leaked schematic claims iPhone 14 will drop the notch

What you need to know

A leaked schematic claims to show off the front of the iPhone 14 design.
The image shows Apple may drop the notch in favor of a ”pill and hole” cutout for the Face ID camera system.
Apple is expected to reveal the iPhone 14 lineup in September.

Could this be the confirmation we’ve been waiting for?

The ”pill and hole” cutout design for the iPhone 14 might be bigger than we thought.

As reported by 9to5Mac, a user on Weibo has apparently leaked a legitimate schematic of the iPhone 14, Apple’s unreleased iPhone model that is expected to be announced this fall.

The schematic, if accurate, confirms that Apple will ditch the notch this year in favor of a ”pill and hole” design for Face ID and the front-facing camera. According to a video by Jon Prosser, the size of the new ”pill and hole” design is much bigger than earlier renders anticipated.

The image above was posted by a Weibo user and it claims to show a more detailed schematic of the iPhone 14 Pro or…

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet may see another Dexit

You may want to make peace with your favorite Pocket Monsters being excluded.

What you need to know

Pokémon Sword and Shield were the first mainline games to exclude Pokémon and the National Pokédex.
Two new games, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, were announced during the February 2022 Pokémon Presents.
Some statements by The Pokémon Company suggest that not all creatures may be available in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

One of the biggest controversies surrounding Pokémon Sword and Shield was the fact that not all Pokémon could be obtainable or transferred over into those games. Dubbed ”Dexit” by the Pokémon community, it spurred a lot of calls for boycotts and for Game Freak to change their policies.

During the February 2022 Pokémon Presents, Game Freak announced a new pair of Pokémon games set in what appears to be Spain, called Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Featuring a cat Grass-type, a crocodile Fire-type, and a duck Water-type starter Pokémon, these games are report…

During challenging times, should we be discussing the next iPhone?

Apple’s likely to announce a new iPhone, iPad, and Mac in the coming days. And yet, most folks around the world probably aren’t focused on Apple’s springtime plans right now. Wars, especially those in Europe, have a way of refocusing attention away from new consumer products most of us probably don’t need. As Stephen Warwick tweeted late last week, unfolding events make ”writing about phones and apps feel very not important all of a sudden.” But here we are.

If the many rumors are correct, Apple could soon reveal the next iPhone SE, next-gen iPad Air, refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro, and new Mac mini. That’s a lot of announcements so early in a calendar year, which suggests some of the chatter might be incorrect. (Don’t be surprised if some of these announcements won’t happen until the Worldwide Developers Conference in June.)

March event?

Of the four possible would-be products mentioned above, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro could prove the most interesting. Coming just months after th…

Several Pokémon have already been revealed for Gen IX.

On February 27, a Pokémon Presents broadcast revealed the names and starters for Gen IX. We look forward to playing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet sometime in 2022 and seeing all of the new Pokémon made for this game. We’ve already seen a number of new and returning Pokémon and have created a list by scouring The Pokémon website, trailers, and promos.

How many Pokémon are in Scarlet and Violet?

The Pokémon Company has not revealed how many Pokémon are in Scarlet and Violet just yet, but we do know that as with the infamous Dexit from Pokémon Sword and Shield not all Pokémon from previous generations will be included. This will be the norm going forward with mainline Pokémon games. We’ll keep our ears to the ground and will update when we learn more.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Who are the starters?

As always, we have a Grass, Fire, and Water starter for Gen IX. They are Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. As of yet,…
