GigaSky offers on-the-go data plans for iPad owners in over 90 countries

The the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 both have the special Apple SIM card embedded in those tablets. Now a company called GigaSky is offering owners of those devices a way to get short-term data plans in over 90 countries. The idea is that users will be able to buy those plans rather than risk paying for huge roaming charges.

GigaSky says:

"With Apple SIM installed, iPad customers can conveniently view and select these short-term data plans directly on their iPad, avoiding the hassle of buying a local SIM when they travel. US and UK customers have the added benefit of choosing from these short-term data plans at home.

"Now there's no need to pick-up a local SIM, hunt for Wi-Fi, or travel in fear of excessive data roaming charges. iPad users can choose a GigSky data plan upon arrival right from their iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3 with Apple SIM installed, and easily connect to family and friends, stay in touch and share their travel."
