iPad mini 4 said to feature thinner frame, iPad Air 2 internals

It looks like the fourth iteration of the iPad mini could take after the iPad Air 2. Apple's new 7.9-inch tablet will reportedly debut this fall with much of the same hardware that was found in last fall's iPad Air 2, including a thinner frame and an improved rear-facing iSight camera.

The iPad mini 4 will reportedly debut alongside an A9-powered iPad Air 3 as well, according to Macotakara:

It is said that the shape of the iPad series will not be changed, but iPad Air 3 which uses A9 chip may be deployed, so there is a possibility that iPad Pro, iPad Air 3, and iPad mini 4 will be announced as the three new products.

When it debuted last year, the iPad mini 3 turned out to be essentially the same device as the iPad mini 2. The primary changes were the new gold color option, as well as support for Touch ID.

New iPads are expected to debut this fall, including a new, large-screen iPad Pro.
