More Android users are switching to iPhone than at any point previously measured

During the Q1 2015 conference call, Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, said the company saw the highest rate of Android to iPhone switchers in 3 years — which is as far as the numbers go back.

Cook also noted that the launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus saw the highest number of new-to-iPhone customers of any previous launch, and that only a tiny percentage of existing iPhone customers had upgraded so far.

That means there's still a lot of opportunity to upgrade additional customers on older devices, and to take an even bigger percentage of both feature phone customers and Android customers.

Given this news, Cook said the Apple is "bullish" on the future of the iPhone.

Talk about understatements...
