Steve Jobs biopic earns $1.55 million from 60 theaters in second box office weekend

Universal Pictures' biopic of Apple's late co-founder Steve Jobs expanded to 60 theaters in the US in its second official weekend at the box office. The expansion allowed it to earn $1.55 million, for a current US total of $2.26 million.

According to Deadline, the per-screen average for the second weekend of Steve Jobs was around $25,000, which is still a very high average for a film. The movie, which stars Michael Fassbender as Jobs, will get its biggest box office test in its third weekend starting October 23, where it will expand to over 2,000 screens nationwide.
