What would you change about the new Notes app?

Now that Notes has been redone, where do you want to see it go next?

With iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan Apple redesigned one of the most-used built-in apps on company's systems: Notes. The new version not only changed from IMAP to CloudKit sync on the backend, it added lists, sketches, embeds, and more to the front end. That took it from being a convenient way to keep text handy to being a convenient way to keeping... everything handy. But with a new year will come even newer systems—iOS 10 and OS X 10.12—and potentially even more new for Notes. So, what would you like to see?

  • Sketches for OS X
  • Notes for Apple Watch
  • Custom colors for Sketches
  • OCR for handwriting in Sketches and images
  • Hidden/secured Notes
  • Markup annotation in Notes (like in Mail)
  • Checklist/Reminder integration
  • Shared Notes

I've never been a power Note taker. Previously I used Notes to sync clipboards between devices. Now I use it to draft articles and... sync even richer clipboards. If you've been all-in on Evernote or OneNote, Yojimbo or Vesper, NVAlt or Simple Note, let me know what else you'd like to see in Apple's built-in Notes.

iOS 10 (iOS X?) and OS X 10.12 are coming—and so are watchOS 3 and tvOS 10 (tvOS X?), so what new Notes features should come with them?
