Apple offers new details and construction photos of Campus 2

New details shed some additional light on Apple's new upcoming headquarters building, Campus 2. Speaking with Mashable, the company says that the installation of the large, curved glass panels is about 33% done, with the process requiring custom machines in order to lift each panel. Construction is also on schedule for other parts of the campus.
The report also offers some details on Campus 2's "Theatre," which is where Apple plans to debut its future products. From Mashable:
The 120,000-square-foot Theatre, with a capacity of 1,000 seats, is a subterranean auditorium, but that's not to say it doesn't make a statement from the outside.
Designed by U.K.-based architect firm Foster+Partner, the cylinder-shaped lobby can be seen at ground level and doesn't have any columns. Instead, the space is open, encased by glass and will have stairs down to the event hall.
Apple also shared some new images of the construction with Mashable.
As for the main Campus 2 building, there has also been significant progress made there. To install the building's massive glass panels, Apple is working with seele/sedak, which also helped design Apple's glass store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. When installation is finished, there will be about 3,000 of panels lining the structure.
Construction on Apple Campus 2 is expected to conclude later this year, with the opening still on track for 2017.
