Apple’s Eddy Cue warns of possible expansion of FBI surveillance powers

Apple SVP of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue recently weighed in on Apple's current argument over encryption with the FBI. In a Spanish-language interview with Univision, Cue expressed his worry that government orders wouldn't stop with unlocking phones, speculating that the FBI might ask for other capabilities that Apple currently does not posses.
From Univision, (via Business Insider):
"For example, one day [the FBI] may want us to open your phone's camera, microphone. Those are things we can't do now. But if they can force us to do that, I think that's very bad," Cue said, according to a translation provided by Apple.
He also said that the company would appeal the case of the San Bernardino shooter's phone to the Supreme Court if they needed to. Cue is just the latest Apple executive to speak out on the company's encryption case tussle the FBI. Software chief Craig Federighi recently said that the FBI was trying to turn back the clock on security, while Tim Cook called an government-mandated back door the "software equivalent of cancer".
