Microsoft adds Touch ID support to Outlook to keep your emails secure

Microsoft has rolled out an update to Outlook for iPhone and iPad, implementing support for Touch ID. Emails of today can contain sensitive information – be it credentials, banking information or simply personal media you wish to remain private – and keeping said data secure should be a top priority. Microsoft allows for you to set up fingerprint authentication to help keep emails stored on your mobile device safe.

As well as Touch ID support, version 2.2.2 also saw Microsoft add the ability to view photos of attendees under events in the agenda view. There's also a handy short-cut in the day and 3-day views – press and hold a time slot to conveniently create a new event. For those of you considering Touch ID, be sure to have it all set up and simply enable the feature in the Outlook Settings area.
