Apple releases iOS 9.3.1 with fix for web link issues

Apple has released iOS 9.3.1, which fixes the web link error that cropped up in the wake of the release of iOS 9.3. The update is available over-the-air, or through iTunes.

iOS 9.3.1 contains the following changes:

Fixes an issue that caused apps to be unresponsive after tapping on links in Safari and other apps

The issue in question causes certain first- and third-party apps to crash when tapping or long-pressing web links in some versions of iOS 9.

This update comes over a week after the release of iOS 9.3, which added several new features and enhancements to the iOS experience, including Night Shift and education improvements.
