How to get better Apple Music recommendations on Apple TV

Getting started in Apple Music is like walking into the largest music store in the world. There is just too much to dig through in order to find what you are looking for. Luckily, the For You section in the Music app on Apple TV is like having a personal shopper hand you a bunch of albums that you might like. In order to make Apple Music a better personal shopper, you can favorite albums and tracks.

How to favorite an album, or playlist in the Music app on Apple TV

When you favorite an artist, album, or playlist in Apple Music, you'll receive more recommendations based off of those selections.

  1. Open the Music app.
  2. Select an playlist, or album.
  3. Swipe to the right to the section below the album art.
  4. Select the Heart icon to favorite the album or playlist.

When you favorite an album or playlist, a star will appear next to it in the Music app.

How to favorite a song in the Music app on Apple TV

  1. Open the Music app.
  2. Find an artist, song, or album to play.
  3. Select a track.
  4. While the track is playing, press and hold the trackpad on the Siri Remote to call up the options menu.
  5. Select I Love This Song.

When you favorite a song, a star will appear next to it in the Music app.
