AT&T unveils DirecTV Now streaming service, offers free Apple TV when you pre-pay

AT&T has unveiled DirecTV Now, its new streaming TV service. A separate product from the company's DirecTV satellite TV offering, NOW launches on Wednesday, November 30 starting at $35 per month with more than 60 channels. You can also get an Apple TV at no extra cost when you pre-pay for three months of service.

To celebrate our historic launch of DIRECTV NOW, we're making streams come true by offering our "Go Big" package with more than 100 channels for just $35 per month. This is a limited time offer. Customers who sign up for this offer will continue to enjoy this special price for as long as you keep the package, subject only to future reasonable programming price increases applicable to all packages.

The service will be available through apps for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. To start, DirecTV Now will offer four packages:

  • Live a Little: $35 per month for more than 60 channels
  • Just Right: $50 per month for more than 80 channels
  • Go Big: $60 per month for more than 100 channels
  • Gotta Have it: $70 per month for more than 120 channels

AT&T hasn't announced the full channel lineup yet, but the company has signed agreements with Disney, NBCUniversal, Fox, and more. Additionally, you'll be able to add HBO and Cinemax for another $5 per month each on top of your plan's original price.
