Kenu’s new wireless charging car mounts are now available for purchase

Quick and steady.

Two new Kenu Qi-certified wireless charging car mounts for iPhones were unveiled today, giving customers a new way to keep their devices charged while on-the-go: the Airframe Wireless and the Airbase Wireless.

With the ability to charge at up to 10W, these wireless chargers do not mess around. The Airframe Wireless was designed to clip onto your vehicle's air vent to secure your iPhone, while the Airbase Wireless mounts to your dashboard or windshield with its suction cup. Depending on the layout of your vehicle, you may have an easier time using one or the other.

Both of these mounts are equipped with spring-loaded phone grips which can expand to hold devices up to 4.3 inches wide. However, they'll have trouble charging your phone if your case is thicker than 3mm. There's also a 360-degree ball joint which allows you to easily re-orient your phone in landscape or portrait mode as you see fit.

These mounts also include safety features like Overheat Protection, fan-less ventilation, and foreign object detection. Kenu throws in a USB-C cable and a 12V dual-port DC car charger with either purchase, along with a two-year warranty.

Of course, these mounts still require a cable to power them, but it's really nice not having to fumble trying to get the cable in your phone while driving. The other option is just to go with a traditional car mount and making sure you plug in your phone when the car is stopped. However, if $60 is a bit more than you're looking to spend, you could opt for something inexpensive such as Aukey's air vent mount or its dashboard suction mount.
