Collecting things is a fun hobby that pretty much anyone can enjoy. Honestly, anyone can collect anything, whether it's coins, action figures, stamps, Disney memorabilia, comic books, trading card games, old tech, and whatever else you can think of. No matter what you collect, it's a lot of fun, or you can take it seriously for monetization down the road.
Regardless, you'll want something to help you keep track of your inventory, or even finding the next addition to your collection. No matter what you need to do for your collections, these apps help you out with those hard finds!

eBay
This is a no-brainer. If you have any kind of collection, or just need something that may be a little hard to find, eBay is your best bet! You can search for pretty much anything here, whether it's vintage or new. There are often sales and coupon codes to help you save some money on your purchases, and you can pay with PayPal or other forms of payment, such as credit cards. Just make sure to check on seller feedback to make sure you're buying from a reputable place!
Sortly
If you already have a collection of stuff going on that you want to keep track of, Sortly is a great option. You can scan barcodes to get them into your collection or add them manually. Snap some photos to go along with each item, include tags and notes, prices, and even track who you lent something out to if needed. It's free to use the base features, but Sortly Pro lets you sync your data on their servers to access on multiple devices and web, export, and create labels or QR codes to track everything you own. It costs $4.99 a month or $47.99 a year.
Colliibo
Given Nintendo's popularity as of late, it's hard to resist those awesome amiibos that they come out with for their games. With Colliibo, you can keep track of what amiibos you have right now and what you need to complete your collection. The database is up-to-date with the latest releases, including the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibos, and is frequently updated. It also has support for Animal Crossing cards.
Vinyl Record App
More of a collector of vinyl? This app lets you keep track of all of the vinyl records that you currently own. Just search for the record and then add it to your in-app collection. Vinyl Record App also lets you keep a Want List for all of the vinyl that you want to own someday. The Feed is where you can check out what friends are buying and wanting, so you can get inspired from each other. Only true vinyl collectors need apply.
Unboxed - Scan & Track Your Shoe Collection
Prefer to collect some fresh kicks? Unboxed helps you keep track of your stylish shoes. Start scanning the UPC on your shoe boxes to add shoes to your collection. You can add your own photos to go with each pair, or just use the stock images. Each shoe can have some notes, like where you bought them from, the price, and more. You can go through your entire collection and find the right shoe for your outfit thanks to some filtering options. Unboxed also has unlimited closet space, so feel free to keep track of all of your kicks!

Retro Game Collector
Love retro games? Retro Game Collector is the reference app to have! You'll find a database of all games for: NES, SNES, N64, GB/GBC, GBA, DS, Wii, Genesis/Mega Drive, Saturn, Sega CD, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Game & Watch, Virtual Boy, PS1, PS2, 2600, Master System, 32X, Game Gear, TurboGrafx-16/CD, XBOX, and 3DO. You can add the titles you own in the app as well as keep a wishlist for titles you want. The app has box art for all games, informs you of rarity and value, average prices paid, and more. If you are into collecting retro games, this is a must.
The app is free to download, but you'll have to buy the game list for specific consoles as in-app purchases.

You can inventory your comics collection, see how much issues are going for, and track the comics you want to own.
Toy Collector: Archive Catalog
Love to collect toys of all kinds? Then Toy Collector: Archive Catalog is for you. With this app, you can view the entire collection of toy lines, such as Funko Pops, amiibo, Star Wars, Skylanders, and more. You can add your toys into the app to keep inventory, add ones that you want, and participate in the community discussions to remove ads. All data is stored on iCloud so you can get access to your collection from multiple devices. This is a nice tool to have for any toy collector.
Collector for Pokémon TCG
For the Pokémon fan, Collector for Pokémon TCG is a necessity. The app includes all sets from Fossil to the newest release, including the original Base set. You can build and manage your decks, inventory your entire collection, and add cards to your Want list. Collector also keeps track of your progress in completing an entire set, and there is a Game Helper to give you a healing hand when playing in a game. And this app keeps track of your Pokémon pins too (a separate in-app purchase).
