Apple begins shipment of the Apple Watch Edition to pre-order customers

Apple has started shipping out the gold Apple Watch Edition to pre-order customers.

A number of people are reporting that Apple has started shipping out the gold Apple Watch Edition models. Customers have seen their credit cards charged, and the watches should see their orders arrive on their doorsteps soon, according to MacRumors:

Starting on Monday of this week, Apple began preparing to ship out the first batch of gold Apple Watch Editions to customers who pre-ordered in April. MacRumors readers have begun seeing credit card charges for the devices and have received shipping notifications and courier information from Apple. Some of the first Apple Watch Edition orders will begin arriving tomorrow.

When Apple announced the release dates and pricing of various models, they noted that the Edition would see limited availability, and would only be found in select Retail Stores, and only a small portion of Apple's initial production run of the Apple Watch is said to be Edition models. That the fulfillment of Edition orders comes almost a month after the launch of the watch should be no surprise.

The Apple Watch Edition comes in yellow gold and rose gold, priced between $10,000 and $17,000, depending on the band.
