Apple releases first developer beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Apple has released the first developer beta OS X 10.11 El Capitan. Mac developers can grab it from the Developer Center now.

Along with the release of the first beta for iOS 9, Apple has launched the first developer beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan. If you're a registered Mac developer, you can grab it now from the Mac Developer Center.

El Capitan focuses on user experience and performance improvements on the Mac. Spotlight now features contextual search and searching within apps. Safari is more streamlined, and will support Force Touch gestures, and let you pin your favorite sites to your tab bar. Additionally, you will be able to use two apps at once in the same fullscreen space.

OS X 10.11 will be released this fall as a free update to all users.
