The popular mobile puzzle game Threes! can now be played for free in a new version, but it comes with in-game ads.

The great puzzle game Threes! was released for the iPhone and iPad over a year ago, but it costs $2.99, which is a barrier for many people who simply don't want to pay for their games. Now the team behind Threes! has a new version of the game that's completely free to play, but it does contain in-game ads.

The free version contains all of the content offered by the older paid game, but players will have to look at ads periodically. The free version doesn't have the option of turning the ads off for a fee, but players who don't want to deal with those kinds of interruptions can still get the $2.99 version from iOS App Store.
