Office 2016 for Mac Preview gets updated with some improvements and bug fixes

Microsoft has updated the Office 2016 for Mac Preview version this week, but it's a small update that concentrates on bug fixes.

In March, Microsoft released the first preview version of Office 2016 for Mac. This week, the company rolled out a small update that mostly contains bug fixes and unnamed improvements, but also has a couple of minor feature additions. Here's what is new and improved with this update:

  • Outlook - Networking improvements; Reminder improvements; Bug fixes
  • Word - Mail merge recipient source improvements; Bug fixes
  • Excel - Bug fixes
  • PowerPoint - Ruler tab stops; Ability to modernize legacy media formats: Bug fixes
  • OneNote - Bug fixes

The final version of Office 2016 for Mac is expected to be released sometime in late 2015. It will be the first time in over four years that Office for Mac has received a major upgrade.
